RAM ABHYANKAR

MIT-WPU SCHOOL OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Ram Abhyankar is a veteran photographer and artist. He has over 40 years of experience in the field of photography. He obtained G.D. Art (Commercial) in 1968. Since then he has witnessed all regime changes in photography starting from large format black and white photography, right upto the latest era of digital photography. He has covered varied types of photography including industrial photography, model photography, nature photography, product photography, medical photography, macro-photography, etc. During his journey as a photographer, he not only mastered technique of clicking the right moment but also, the equally important post processing activities. Being a photographer who is an artist, Ram Abhyankar believes in technology enhanced aesthetics.

Since the last 20 years, he has been actively involved in astrophotography. He has captured and published most of the spectacular astronomical events including the Solar and Lunar eclipses, Comet travels, dance of Jupiter and its moons, Beautiful display of Saturn rings, etc.

Ram Abhyankar has been inspiring young talent throughout his career and has taken up mentoring young photographers as one of his life’s mission. MIT School of Photography is proud to have him as its mentor.





KUMAR GOKHALE

Kumar Gokhale is one of the leading and famous fashion and portrait photographers. He entered the field of Commercial Photography in 1984 and since then has been at the forefront of creating and executing some of the most memorable advertising and marketing campaigns for advertisements, films and theatre. His is a famous name when it comes to Marathi film celebrities’ portraits.

Along with photography, he is also known for his designing and calligraphy skills. He has bestowed his artistic letterings to most of the famous Marathi films and plays. He has been a guide to many photographers and beginners in this field. His mastery in post processing has a major contribution in laying a strong foundation in the grooming of our students to become successful professionals.
